Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for running all kitchen operations during events. They will prep, execute and run food orders while ensuring food safety and constant cleanliness of the kitchen.

Responsibilities
- Turn on ovens and ensure food is prepped for the day
- Check temperatures on fridges and freezers to ensure they are in safe temperature zones
- Ensure food safety guidelines are followed
- Prepare food as orders come in, ensuring high quality and presentation
- If Assist is busy, support with running food to tables
- Keep work area clean and sanitized
- Prep food stock throughout shift and ensure kitchen prep checklist is completed
- Support with bar service as needed
- Ensure cleaning checklist is completed at end of shift
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and customer service skills
- Thorough understanding of the company’s products and/or services
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and Slack
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver license
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of each week
- Ability to work 15-30 hours per week
Experience/Education
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma
- 1+ years experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment
- ServSafe Food Handler certification (Muse will provide this training if needed)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, bend
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
